Sandals Purchases The Veranda Resorts & Residences

Sandals Resorts International has been garnering a lot of attention this winter season. First was the news that Sandals was entering the destination of Grenada with its purchase of LaSource Resort, which will reopen as the Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa. On the heels of that announcement came the news that Sandals had purchased The Veranda Resorts & Residences in Turks & Caicos, a luxury property consisting of oceanfront suites and villas along Grace Bay. The sale transaction was handled exclusively by Sandals and The Veranda's owner, Faez Limited. The purpose of the purchase was to expand Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa and to introduce the new addition as Key West Luxury Village, which was accomplished last month.

"It has been an exciting month for us and we are so pleased to continue the expansion of the Beaches Resorts brand in Turks & Caicos," said Gordon "Butch" Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts. The Key West Luxury Village has family-friendly studios, multi-bedroom suites and villas. Key West Luxury Village will be the first major addition to Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa since the grand opening of the resort's Italian Village in 2009. In addition to the 16 restaurants currently on property, guests will now have access to three new dining establishments through the expansion, as well as a number of other luxurious amenities. Beaches Turks & Caicos will also be recruiting existing staff of The Veranda.
