The Inn at English Harbor on Antigua — a boutique resort, which recently completed a $1.5 million renovation — is offering special honeymoon rates and amenities to newlyweds, the Honeymoon Package.
Upon arrival to this Caribbean getaway, honeymooners receive a complimentary bottle of Champagne and fresh garden flowers in their room. Based on availability, they may also receive a free upgrade to the next room category. The couple will arise the next morning to a delicious breakfast served on their room’s private balcony. Room rates start at $500 per night.
Guestrooms feature dark mahogany wood floors, large modern bathrooms with a separate toilet and bidet and king-sized beds decorated with soft, high-count Egyptian cotton sheets and pillows. Or, honeymooners can opt for the more traditional beach cabanas, which feature Italian Brera marble floors, cane furniture and a veranda that opens onto the beach.
After the recent upgrade, amenities such as new, flat-screen televisions, iPod docking stations and WiFi internet access were added to the rooms as well.
Newlyweds can further enhance their vacation by visiting the property’s newly built spa, which offers couples a variety of treatments to be enjoyed either in a massage room or in the privacy of their guestroom.
After a relaxing day, couples can start off the evening at the property’s English pub, The Stone Bar, before dining at Terrace Restaurant, which is known to be among the finest restaurants in Antigua. Executive chef Fred Cougnon, praised for his upscale Italian cuisine, is the creative force behind the menu, and the restaurant boasts sterling silver-plated cutlery, new Jacquard table linen and formal drapery.
