Westin Hotels & Resorts will introduce its first Thailand resort in early 2010. The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket, located on Siray Island, will be a five-star property overlooking Siray Bay with private beach access. The resort will have 258 guestrooms, suites and villas decorated in warm tones with modern furniture. Each room will have a breathtaking ocean view, a flat-screen LCD television and high-speed broadband Internet access. Several guestrooms and villas will also have their own plunge pools.
“Our exclusive location on the east side of Phuket coupled with the private white sandy beach, crystal-clear water and abundant greenery around will make this Westin resort a perfect retreat for our guests to recharge and rejuvenate,” said Greg Findlay, general manager of the Westin Siray Bay Resort, Phuket.
Clients will have access to a wide range of Westin products and services, including the signature Westin Heavenly Bed, Westin Workout and Westin Heavenly Spa. Other facilities include six food and beverage outlets, three outdoor pools, a Westin Kids Club, four meeting rooms and a business center that encompasses 725 square meters of functional space overlooking the ocean.
The new resort will have a prime location as well. Siray Island is connected to the Phuket mainland via a bridge. It is only an eight-minute drive from Phuket Town and a 45-minute drive from Phuket International Airport to the resort. A simple boat ride will transport visitors from the island to a cluster of world-renowned islands including the James Bond, Similan and Maya islands, which are famous for their white, sandy beaches, pristine waters and abundant marine life.
With 23 hotels currently operating in the Asia Pacific region, Westin Hotels & Resorts plans to welcome five new additions to the area in the next 12 months, including the Westin Shenszhen Nanshan, the Westin Tianjin, the Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, the Westin Mumbai Garden City and the Westin Pune Koregaon Park.
