Minor Hotels has announced the debut of Anantara Miami Resort & Residences, the Bangkok-based luxury brand’s first expansion into the United States.
Located within Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood, the planned 50-story tower will feature 100 private residences, 120 resort residences (where owners can rent to hotel guests) and 50 hotel suites. The real estate development, created in partnership with One Thousand Group, is projected to open in 2030 and will be the first tower in the area to offer uninterrupted views of Biscayne Bay.
Beyond full-time residences, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will also offer a suite of wellness amenities informed by the brand’s trademark mix of ancient healing and modern longevity. Guided by an overarching philosophy of immersive, experience-led hospitality, the development will feature a dedicated vitality center focused on movement, nutrition and recovery as well as on-site activities inspired by centuries-old Thai healing traditions.
Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will feature architecture by Kohn Pedersen Fox — the firm behind New York City’s One Vanderbilt — and interiors by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola. The project builds upon One Thousand Group’s local track record, which includes One Thousand Museum and Villa Miami.
In line with Anantara’s emphasis on luxury, the tower will have a private rooftop helipad that enables access to the Florida Keys, Palm Beach and the Bahamas. The pedestrian-friendly neighborhood affords residents access to leading restaurants, galleries, boutiques and cultural institutions such as the Perez Art Museum and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
“With Anantara, we saw an opportunity to bring a globally respected brand into a market that is ready for something more meaningful and experience-driven,” said Michael Konig, co-founder of One Thousand Group.
