Transcend Cruises has announced that its first newbuild riverboat for the charter group travel market will be named Transcend Connect. Based on information the line has already shared, the vessel will be so impressively detailed and rendered that legacy luxury lines will surely take notice.

Transcend Connect is scheduled to arrive in April 2026 (with a sister ship, Transcend Evolve, to follow later in the second quarter of that year). A new website showcasing the brand’s customizable program is available now. The site consists of a construction timeline, charter and destination options, a deck plan and information about the brand’s story and mission.

Here’s what else we know about Transcend’s first ship.

Editor’s Note: This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

Hybrid Lounge and Restaurant

Fully taking advantage of the 135-meter-long riverboat’s space will be several hybrid spaces that expand on the split-level forward lounge and restaurant configurations of traditional vessels.

The 120-passenger vessel will feature five venues capable of accommodating all guests for group programming, including a two-story Forum theater. Transcend will carry up to 60% less guests than most European riverboats and promises the highest river-based crew-to-guest ratio.

The main restaurant, with two private salons/breakout rooms and a buffet station, will be one of three dining venues offering fine cuisine and wine. A library and coffee bar will extend the main deck.

Bonus Public Venues

Besides those venues closest to the bow, there will be a 2,600-square-foot indoor/outdoor fitness, yoga, spa and wellness facility at the stern. The space will feature a full scenic dry sauna, a relaxation room with tiled recliners, a steam room and Technogym equipment.

An aft lounge will round out the venues at the stern. Up on the sun deck, there will be extra fitness space, an outdoor cinema, an al fresco restaurant and more.

Stateroom Details

There will be 60 identical passenger cabins, each with its own bedroom and bathroom, that can convert into adjoining suites. Stylish translucent glass-enclosed bathrooms can be made opaque at the switch of an electronic button for added privacy as needed.

Customizing for Clients

Clients can brand the ship in multiple ways, including with digital signage and customizable lighting, sound and imagery.

“Today’s group, meeting, incentive travel and affinity program organizers demand innovation and flexibility to suit their client’s needs, all while delivering a level of service they would expect from a five-star hotel on land,” said Hans Rood, CEO of Transcend. “Transcend is truly a game-changer for these market segments.”

Sustainability Details

With sustainability in mind, Transcend will employ food waste minimization and source products locally. To address overtourism, the company will best manage deployments and docking activity while reducing overall fuel consumption with the utilization of shore power when available.
