Millennials looking to forgo the fringe and flower crowns of Coachella in favor of more unusual festivals have plenty of options with Geckos Adventures’ new line of #FestivalLife trips. The portfolio promotes six of the world’s lesser-known festivals. Highlights include enjoying tasty treats at the famous kimchi festival in Seoul, South Korea; busting out dance moves at Morocco’s Gnaoua music fest; or partying in the Caribbean during Cuba’s massive Carnival in Havana.
Rates for these trips, which are available exclusively to clients under the age of 30, range from $740 to $2,865, depending on the itinerary. They take place over a span of seven to 14 days.
“We created this series to meet a growing demand from millennials searching for authentic local experiences in off-the-beaten-track places in combination with their love of all things festivals,” said Leigh Barnes, North America regional director for Geckos Adventures. “But we chose to skip the long lines at popular events like Burning Man and Coachella in trade for some amazing yet lesser-known festivals that also inject tourism dollars into local economies and bring communities together. Now that’s something to really celebrate.”
