Journeys International — a global ecotourism company in the U.S. offering full-service guided cross-cultural explorations, nature safaris, treks and eco-tours — has recently expanded its trip offerings to include Albania and the Czech Republic.

Albania emerged from isolation in the early 1990s, and visitors can expect to experience a distinctive culture and a well-preserved natural environment. Travelers participating in Journeys’ Albanian Alps departures will find beach and mountain landscapes free of the crowds and high prices characteristic of other European countries. Tour participants arrive in Tirana and are then transferred to Kruja, a Sufi Dervish sanctuary, to begin the tour. They will hike the Valbona Pass to the village of Thethi and then travel on to Boga.
Traveler’s joining Journeys’ Charming Czech Republic trip will explore castles, rolling hills, cobblestone streets, UNESCO Cultural and Natural Heritage sites and Prague, one of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities. Travelers will enjoy the natural beauty of two national parks, and stop for lunch along the Vltava River in Prague. Walking trips will take travelers beyond the city to discover deep forests and charming towns between Prague and Vienna, Austria.
Departure dates for the nine-day walking tour Albanian Alps are June 16-24 and Sep. 29 through Oct. 7. Additional dates may be added. The group size is four to 12. Land cost is $2,545 and the single supplement is $150. Lodging is in one- to three-star properties.
The eight-day Charming Czech Republic trip has a group size of two to 12 participants.
Dates for departures are customizable. The land cost is $3,560. Accommodations are in three- to four-star hotels.
