There’s an old Chinese saying: “Good things come in pairs.” And what better way to celebrate your better half than by indulging in a luxurious spa experience together? The following treatments are designed specifically for couples looking to ignite a bit of romance. Everyone from newlyweds on their honeymoon to lovebirds celebrating a milestone anniversary can partake in these relaxing experiences that include custom massages, facials and, of course, champagne.

Couples Retreat
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta offers vast, luxurious couples suites that feature dark-wood floors, a large marble soaking tub for two, a private shower and a changing area. The Couples Retreat package begins with a relaxing foot ritual and a couples bath, followed by a full-body exfoliation and a soothing scalp treatment. After a cleansing shower, couples receive a customized massage, enjoy light fruit refreshments and end the experience with an invigorating facial.

Di-Vine Love Ritual for Two
Couples will feel as if they have been transported to a French vineyard when visiting Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Ideal for vino lovers, the two-hour Di-Vine Love Ritual for Two begins with a barrel bath, followed by a side-by-side customized massage in the light of flickering candles. Partners will then receive Grand Facials that incorporate grapeseed polyphenol-rich products, which help maintain elasticity of the skin. They’ll conclude their experience with a glass of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte from the Caudalie family vineyard in the lounge.

Double Serenity
The private treatment room at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong’s spa comes with a private Jacuzzi bath that overlooks scenic Victoria Harbour. The Double Serenity treatment starts out with a bubble bath, two glasses of champagne and a full-body scrub to prep skin for the signature Four Seasons Fusion Massage, which brings together hot stone and Swedish massage techniques and Asian-inspired stretching.

J’adore
Especially popular during the month of February, the J’adore treatment at Riviera Palm Springs in Palm Springs, Calif., provides couples with body buffs, body masques, lotions and rose petals to use on each another in a private Zen steam room. Chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne are available as an add-on to sweeten the experience. Those with a sweet tooth may be inclined to try My Chocolate Fix, which includes a soft cream sugar exfoliation, a chocolate butter body wrap and application of rehydrating chocolate body creams.

Japanese Experience
At Tomoko Spa in Beverly Hills, Calif., the Japanese Experience for Couples starts out with The Ashiyu, a detoxifying foot soak to calm tension in the feet and body. The next 30 minutes are spent relaxing together in the "ofuro" (a Japanese natural bath treatment), followed by the Tomoko Massage, which is enjoyed side by side in a private suite that features a shower and a tub. To finish off the experience, partners are served sushi from popular Los Angeles restaurant Sugarfish, accompanied by organic green tea and Japanese sweets for dessert.

Mud Bath Experience
One of the most popular treatments at Golden Haven Hot Springs Spa & Resort in Napa Valley, Calif., is the signature Mud Bath Experience for couples. A personal spa attendant applies a clay facial mask and cold compress during the bath, which is a combination of clay, peat and hot-springs mineral water to relax, detoxify and renew skin. The bath is followed by a hot-springs shower and a soak in a private Jacuzzi that uses natural water sourced from the geothermal aquifer located under the spa. Afterward, couples cool down together in a blanket-wrap room during a soothing aromatherapy session.
