Katherine Lugar, executive vice president of the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), has been chosen by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) as its new president and CEO, effective April 17. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., AH&LA serves as the national voice of advocacy on Capitol Hill for all sectors and stakeholders in the lodging industry.
“Katherine is exactly the right person at the right time to transition the association into a strong advocate and industry voice in Washington, state capitals and with the media,” said AH&LA CEO Joseph A. McIerney, whom Lugar will be succeeding.
