At the end of February, Aer Lingus held a special reception at City Club Los Angeles to celebrate its upcoming nonstop service from Los Angeles to Dublin. Beginning May 4, Aer Lingus will operate four weekly flights between Los Angeles International Airport and Dublin International Airport.
Attendees of the Irish airline’s event included Fionnula Flanagan, a renowned Irish film star; Philip Grant, consul general of Ireland for the Western U.S.; and Finbar Hill, honorary consul general of Ireland.
“Our operation of the Los Angeles route will strengthen Ireland’s ties with Southern California and encourage Ireland’s development as a hub for Europe,” said Jeff Wright, director of sales for North America for Aer Lingus. “Los Angeles of course is home to the entertainment industry, and Ireland has been extremely supportive of movie production.”
