Carnival Corporation & plc announced on Sept. 23 that Alan Buckelew, chief operations officer (COO), will relocate to China to lead the company’s emerging Chinese operations. Buckelew, who holds extensive experience in Asia as a former CEO of Princess Cruises, will manage all Carnival initiatives in China. This will be in addition to his continued COO duties, including leading the company’s maritime and port operations around the world.
“Alan is one of the most respected leaders in the industry and having him on the ground in China will add great strength to our operation and growth opportunities in China,” said Arnold Donald, CEO of Carnival.
