Greg Bernd, vice chairman of industry relations for Classic Vacations, will retire from his position at the end of this year after 29 years with the company. In that time, he acted as director of national accounts, vice president of sales and co-president of Classic Vacations.
“It has truly been a tremendous ride. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with some of the most talented individuals in the travel industry, both internally and externally,” said Bernd.
Dara Khosrowshahi, president and CEO of Expedia, Inc., Classic’s parent company, said that Greg was instrumental in developing Classic’s travel agent business.
“His passion for the business and dedication to the company is evident in the success of Classic today,” he said.
Classic Vacations also recently announced the hiring of two new business development managers, Gail Goldberg and Bernice Medina.
