Caroline Ball and Ron Warner have joined Melia Hotels International as the company’s newest directors of group sales. In their new roles, Ball and Warner will be responsible for groups, meetings, incentive sales and conventions, as well as for maintaining client relationships. Ball will be responsible for the regions of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.; Warner, for Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Having worked in the industry since 1993, Ball has spent the last 12 years of her career at Hyatt. Beginning in 2003, she was Hyatt’s director of worldwide sales in the Washington, D.C. area and the southeastern U.S.
Warner joins Melia with 30 years of experience in the travel industry, the last 12 of which he has spent specializing in the MICE market. He has served as national manager for the Canadian American Express Platinum card travel service and national manager of supplier relations with Amex as well. Most recently, he was director of operations for Maxvantage.
