Princess Cruises Partners with Curtis Stone

Aug 20, 2015

On Aug. 17, Princess Cruises hosted a dinner in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate its recent partnership with celebrity chef Curtis Stone. The event featured a Q&A with Stone; a first look at Share by Curtis Stone, his new concept restaurant slated for select Princess ships; and an exclusive tasting of the Crafted by Curtis menu that will debut on all Princess vessels this October.

This is the chef’s first restaurant at sea, and his menu draws inspiration from his award-winning Los Angeles restaurant, Maude, as well as pays homage to the exotic locales that Princess visits. Personally introducing each of the courses — which featured items such as buttery poached lobster and braised kale — Stone emphasized his intent to craft a restaurant designed for sharing. The aptly named Share will launch in December on Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess. Guests onboard additional select Princess ships will also have the opportunity to experience the Chef’s Table, a unique experience designed by Stone that includes a galley tour and multicourse meal prepared by the onboard executive chef.

“We have waited a long time to partner with a chef, because we were waiting for the best,” said Rai Caluori, executive vice president of fleet operations for Princess Cruises. “[Stone] is going to bring some very special, innovative and creative input to the culinary experience onboard Princess ships.”
