Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Beat Meier to the position of general manager at The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos. He joins the resort from The Westin Playa Conchal Resort & Spa in Costa Rica, where he oversaw the resort’s transformation into a Westin property.
Meier, who holds 25 years of experience in luxury hotels, is best known for his expertise in hotel openings, renovations and rebrandings. He has overseen the opening and reconstruction of hotels all over the world and joined Starwood in 2011 after opening the Azul Sensatori Hotel in 2009 for El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels.
At The Westin Los Cabos, Meier will manage the resort’s ongoing renewal program, designed to enhance the guest experience by upgrading guestrooms and suites, as well as the resort’s restaurant, its bar and the Royal Beach Club Lou
