On March 26, tour operator Austin Adventures held the first in a series of webinars meant to bring education to children staying home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first episode featured Yellowstone National Park and drew more than 1,000 children and parents. The content, which includes videos, a Q&A session and more, is best suited for kids ages 6 to 12 years old. Lessons last 30 minutes to an hour.
“When hit with the prospect of not getting out onto the trails, we thought the next best thing would be to share ‘virtual adventures;’ we had no idea they would be so popular,” said Kasey Austin, president of Austin Adventures. “I can’t wait to continue to share some of my favorite spots on the planet with kids from around the world.”
