Registration for Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld is now open. The event returns to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the Broward County Convention Center, Nov. 6-8, 2024. (Note: Travel Weekly is a sister brand to TravelAge West).
The annual event has much to offer travel advisors of all levels, including supplier trainings, networking opportunities, ship inspections, informative general sessions and an Exhibitor Showcase.
By registering early, travel advisors can take advantage of the event’s lowest rates; plus, if participants register before May 1, they will be entered to win one of 10 balcony cabins on the inaugural sailing of the Sun Princess. Registration costs $275.
Ship inspections will be offered over the weekend following CruiseWorld, Nov. 7-8. View the current roster of ships.
CruiseWorld: What to Expect
Returning in 2024 are the crowd-favorite Pitch Perfect segments where a panel of suppliers pitch their product to advisors’ hypothetical clients live on stage. Topics will feature group travel, adventure/expedition travel and luxury travel, as well as river cruising.
Also back is CruiseWorld’s popular STAR (Select Travel Advisor Recognition) Program for an elite group of CruiseWorld attendees. Last year’s program was sold out. All those interested in applying are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. More information on the semi-hosted program, including qualifications and the STAR application can be found at cruiseworldshow.com/star.
Peer-to-peer training will be available on Friday, Nov. 8. These breakout sessions are a highlight of CruiseWorld. They enable developing and established advisors to learn from one another in the areas of marketing, sales, social media, product development, professional development, supplier relationship building and more. Advisors can watch recordings of the 12 sessions from 2023 to get an idea of the types of sessions to expect.
Attendees will also have a chance to brainstorm together in an interactive Think Tank. Attendees will be able to share ideas about what has worked for them and ask for assistance from their peers for challenges they are facing.
Supplier sponsored workshops will also be offered on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 6 and 7. Attendees will hear from destinations, cruise lines, and other suppliers on new products and programs.
The 2024 supplier roster for the Exhibitor Showcase is growing day by day. Airlines, cruise lines, destinations, hotels and resorts, professional services, tour operators, host agency and consortia, travel insurance and more will all be well represented on the showcase floor come November.
