Submit Your Best Travel Photos: 2025 TravelAge West Reader Photo Contest Now Open

Submissions are officially open for TravelAge West’s 13th Annual Reader Photo Contest, highlighting the best images taken by travel advisors from the past year. Winners will receive cash prizes, including a $200 gift card for the first-place entry, and a selection of top photos will also be published in the December issue of TravelAge West.

Travel advisor readers are invited to submit their best original travel photography by Friday, Nov. 14 for consideration. TravelAge West editors will then consider the uniqueness, subject matter, composition, lighting and other aesthetic elements of each submission to select the winners.

"In a world where we’re inundated by images all day, it’s worth celebrating the photos that stop us in our tracks,” said Mindy Poder, Editor-in-Chief of TravelAge West. “Advisors capable of capturing that level of beauty, humanity or insight into the natural world are no doubt putting that level of craftsmanship into their client trips as well.”

The winning photograph will receive a $200 American Express gift card and will be featured on an upcoming cover of TravelAge West. Second- and third-place contestants will each receive $100 American Express gift cards and will also be featured in an upcoming issue of TravelAge West. Honorable Mention winners will be published in the special issue, as well.

Contest Rules

- Participants must be travel advisors.
- Submit the largest file size available from your camera. Don't resize or compress your photos. When you zoom in, it should stay sharp and clear, not pixelated.
- All entries must include a caption with the name of the destination and subjects photographed, as well as background information and any other relevant details.
- Participants must include contact information (name, address, phone number and email address), their agency name and their professional title.
- Only digital images will be accepted.
- Travel advisors may submit up to five photographs total, but each photo submitted must include a caption and be entered in a separate email.

Submission Information and Deadline

To submit a photo, readers must email photos to [email protected] by Friday, Nov. 14. Write “Photo Contest” in the subject line of the email.

TravelAge West reserves the right to use submitted photos in all formats, including print content, online content, social media content, house advertisements and marketing materials. Entry in the contest does not prohibit the photographer from using submitted photographs for his or her own private and commercial purposes.
