ALG Vacations (ALGV) has introduced a new elective training series, ALGVPro Social Media Courses, designed to help travel advisors enhance their online presence, master content creation and convert social media followers into bookings.

The educational initiative provides advisors with platform-specific training for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok through self-paced courses. Each course contains three modules covering profile setup and optimization, content creation and posting strategies, and ways to foster engagement and sales conversion.

The program was developed following strong advisor interest in digital marketing education. A 2023 ALGV social media webinar attracted more than 1,300 registrants, prompting the company to offer dedicated social channel sessions throughout 2024. The company reports that its own TikTok account grew to 100,000 followers by November 2023 after launching in July 2022.

"Social media isn't just a place to be seen; it's where today's travelers are researching, dreaming and ultimately booking," said Anna Maria Addesso, vice president of marketing at ALGV. "We created ALGVPro Social Media Courses to give advisors a strong, strategic foundation for standing out online, connecting with audiences and growing their business with purpose."

The courses are available now as an optional component of the ALGVPro certification program. To promote the launch, ALGV is running a giveaway through May 8 for advisors who complete all three courses, with prizes including a complimentary hotel stay and social media equipment.
