Beaches Resorts has announced plans to invest nearly $1 billion to expand its all-inclusive family vacation brand, with the goal of doubling its footprint within five years.

Adam Stewart, executive chairman of Beaches, made the announcement at a global launch event in New York City on March 12. The expansion includes new resorts in Barbados, Exuma (the Bahamas) and Runaway Bay (Jamaica), plus a significant addition to the existing Beaches Turks and Caicos property.

"As a family from the Caribbean, we have a deep love for our islands, and it's incredibly gratifying to draw inspiration from our guests," Stewart said. "Our growth strategy is rooted in meeting their wants, with the importance of family time being at the core of our brand's DNA. We know that now, more than ever, families are prioritizing connection and seeking enriching, multigenerational vacations."

Beaches Barbados will break ground in late 2025, featuring 600 rooms ranging from king suites to four-bedroom accommodations up to 3,000 square feet. The resort will incorporate "Bajan Style" architecture and include a central "Main Street" with dining, shopping, outdoor performance stages and a sports bar and arcade.

Beaches Exuma will mark the brand's first property in the Bahamas, set on 500 acres in the Out Islands. The company is finalizing an agreement with the Bahamian government to convert the existing Sandals Emerald Bay into a Beaches resort. The transformation will reconfigure the property's 249 rooms into various accommodation types, including multi-bedroom villa suites. Amenities will include 12 restaurants, a Kids Camp, splash park, spa and access to the Greg Norman-designed 18-hole Emerald Bay Golf Course.

Beaches Runaway Bay will be located on Jamaica's North Coast between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. The resort will offer approximately 400 suites and villas with one to four bedrooms. Planned features include wellness areas, activities such as skateboarding and bike trails, a climbable treehouse and access to Runaway Bay Golf Club's 18-hole championship course.

The new Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos is now accepting reservations. This addition will bring the property to 858 total accommodations across six villages. Treasure Beach will add 101 suites, including four-bedroom beachfront villas that can accommodate up to 10 guests. The expansion will feature the brand's first food hall and the introduction of Butch's Island Chophouse restaurant.

These developments follow the recent addition of the Firesky Reserve Villas and Eventide Penthouse Collection at Beaches Negril in Jamaica, which can accommodate families of up to 10 and 18 guests respectively.
