From May 13-15, 2020, Tourism Cares will hold its North America Summit in North Lake Tahoe, located on the California-Nevada border. The summit will focus on water, climate change, forest health and the challenges of overtourism. Activities will include a day of hands-on volunteer work in the destination.
Why It Matters
By harnessing the power of the travel industry, Tourism Cares makes a significant impact on the communities it visits. Bringing some of the biggest companies in travel to this Western destination will not only help support North Lake Tahoe, but it should also call attention to environmental issues that are important to destinations around the world.
