A Woman’s View, a division of Isramworld, is inaugurating its 2012 season of custom itineraries for women with the introduction of Astonishing India. The first departure of this new 12-day tour departs Oct. 25, 2011, and includes Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights. Other dates are available in 2012.
Astonishing India is designed exclusively for women, it features guaranteed departures and it will be escorted by Woman’s View staff. Hotel accommodations are at the deluxe Taj Hotels in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Varanasi. Meals include buffet breakfast daily, lunch and two hotel dinners.
Highlights of the program include visits to girls’ schools and local family homes, plus meetings dedicated to the empowerment of women in India. Visitors may choose their own design for a traditional henna tattoo, participate in a sari-tying demonstration and receive a complimentary Ayurvedic massage. After shopping for vegetables and spices at local markets with a renowned chef, a traditional Rajasthan cooking lesson at a restaurant will be provided for the group.
The cost is $3,795, land only, and single rooms or shares are available upon request.
