Abu Simbel — a set of massive rock temples built by Ramses II — is part of the Nubian Monuments UNESCO World Heritage Site near the Egypt-Sudan border. The larger temple is decorated with four detailed statues of Ramses II, while the smaller one features statues of the king and queen. Abu Simbel is often considered to be among the most beautiful temples in the country.
The eight-day package also includes roundtrip airfare from New York to Cairo, three nights in Cairo, breakfasts in Cairo, a three-night Nile cruise in a junior suite cabin and all meals for the duration of the cruise. Shore excursions, entrance fees and an English-speaking Egyptologist are also included on the tour as well as transfers within Egypt.
