Ya’lla Tours USA Announces In the Footsteps of the Bible

Sep 01, 2008

This is an opportunity for agents with clients who want a religious tour but do not want to pay for a privately escorted tour. Regular motor coach tours are designed to appeal to the broadest interests and often will not satisfy the spiritual traveler. Unless the pilgrim is affiliated with a church group that is traveling, their only alternative is to pay for a private tour. In the Footsteps of the Bible is a great solution, a religious group tour that is open to any traveler. The same tour, with private escort, would be over $7,000 per person. That’s a savings of more than $3,000 per person, $6,000 for a couple!

Ya'lla Image // © 2008The eleven night itinerary includes 4 nights in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee, 2 nights in Petra, 1 night in Aqaba and 4 nights in Jerusalem. Visits include important biblical sites in Israel and Jordan as well as the spectacular sites of Masada, Petra and Wadi Rum. Special touches include a private boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and a Bedouin style lunch at Wadi Rum.

For believers, there is nothing like walking the ground where Jesus walked and preached. The power of these sites is palpable. One can easily imagine the humble carpenter sharing his message with crowds large and small in the verdant hills around the Sea of Galilee. Two different sites believed to be the location of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus couldn’t be more different in atmosphere. The ancient Church of the Holy Sepulcher is dark and womb-like, redolent and deeply moving. The Garden Tomb is equally moving in a bright and airy setting, recalling the events that took place here by their connection to life.

The inclusion of biblical sites in Jordan adds an immeasurable dimension to this Christian pilgrimage. Along the east bank of the Jordan River, within only a few miles of each other lay the origins of two of the world’s most enduring spiritual traditions. Mt. Nebo is the traditional site of the death and burial of Moses, the place from which he viewed the Promised Land after wandering in the wilderness with the Israelites for forty years. Very near Mt. Nebo, just north of the Dead Sea on the banks of the Jordan River, is the site believed by many to be Bethany Beyond the Jordan where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.

Besides biblical sites, the tour visits some spectacular historical and natural spots. Petra rightly deserves its designation as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. This sprawling Nabatean city is magnificent both in scale and artistry, carved right into the red sandstone walls of a narrow canyon. The awesome desert scenery of Wadi Rum is known to many only as the back drop of the film Lawrence of Arabia. This tour takes travelers deep into the wadi in 4x4 vehicles to skirt the shadows of massive, monoliths thrusting from the desert floor and take lunch Bedouin style in the shade of a traditional goat-hair tent.

Price is $4,195 per person, double with air on Delta Airlines from the contiguous United States. Single room supplement is $595 and Business/First upgrade is $3,195.

Price includes round-trip, economy class airfare, accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, transfers, 10 days of touring with a licensed guide in an air-conditioned motor coach, entrance fees, hotel taxes and more.

A limited number of Elite First/Business Class seats are available for a supplement of $3,195 per person.

Visits include:

Mount Tabor
Nazareth
Capernaum
Mount of Beatitudes
Bethany Beyond the Jordan
Mount Nebo
Petra
Wadi Rum
Masada
Bethlehem

Jerusalem (Mt. of Olives, the Church and Garden of Gethsemane, the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Western Wall, Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, the Shrine of the Book, the Garden Tomb)

and MUCH MORE!

This tour is fully commissionable at 12%. Travel agents who book 10 or more passengers will get 1 free.
