China Southern Airlines recently announced its new flight
schedule running through the close of October. Additionally, by the
close of 2007, the airline is slated to add 33 new aircraft. For
domestic flights within the PRC, the emphasis of this flight season
will be building the Guangzhou/Beijing hub infrastructure and
increasing the airline’s flight frequency.
For the southwest area originating from Guangzhou:
Guangzhou-Kunming: seven flights daily; Guangzhou-Kunming-Baoshan:
four flights per week’ Guangzhou-Kunming-Dali: every Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday; Guangzhou Chengdu: four flights per day;
Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou: daily; Chongqing-Jiuzhaigou: daily;
Guangzhou-Diqing-Lhasa: daily (starting in July).
For the northeast region:
Guangzhou-Shenyang: four flights per day; Guangzhou-Weihai-Harbin:
daily; Guangzhou-Harbin: four flights per day.
For the northwest region:
Guangzhou-Xi’an: four flights per day; Guangzhou-Lanzhou: daily;
Guangzhou-Xining: daily.
To other regions:
Guangzhou-Wenzhou: four flights per day; Guangzhou-Nanchang: four
flights per day; Guangzhou-Zhanjiang: four flights per day;
Guangzhou-Yancheng-Nantong-Guangzhou: daily; Guangzhou-Zhangjiajie:
three flights per day; Guangzhou-Nanjing: five flights per day;
Guangzhou-Haikou: 10 flights per day; Guangzhou-Sanya: seven
flights per day.
By the end of 2007, the airline will be launching new flights from
Guangzhou to Yangon, Phuket, Siem Reap and Vientiane between July 9
and July12; Guangzhou-Delhi service on Sept. 9.
In addition, the airline will be operating non-stop Boeing 777
service between Guangzhou and Los Angeles every Tuesday, Wednesday,
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and two flights from Guangzhou to
Saipan each week.
Asian service will be increased with daily service between
Guangzhou and Kuala Lumpur; Guangzhou-Tokyo; Guangzhou-Osaka;
Guangzhou-Fukuoka; Beijing-Guangzhou-Phnom Penh;
Beijing-Xiamen-Manila and Beijing-Guangzhou-Hanoi.
