The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) recently announced the dates for its 2014 Japan Showcase seminars, exclusive to travel agents currently selling or interested in selling travel to Japan. Showcase participants have the opportunity to network with Japanese suppliers and to learn more about their products and services.
With tourism in Japan on the rise, now is an ideal time for travel agents to brush up on their knowledge of the country’s many attractions. In 2013, Japan welcomed more than 10 million visitors over the course of the year, and officials expect tourism numbers to continue to grow as the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo approach.
The Japan Showcase seminars will be held on Jan. 30 at the Double Tree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay in Miami; Feb. 4 at the Double Tree by Hilton in San Jose, Calif.; Feb. 6 at the Double Tree by Hilton in Los Angeles; Feb. 18 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown in Denver; and Feb. 20 at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center in Minneapolis.
Travel agents can register for an event online. Attendance is limited to three travel agents per agency and RSVPs will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
