More Than Just Sightseeing on Ritz Tours

Mar 14, 2005
In addition to providing quality tours to China and Asia at affordable prices, Ritz Tours is trying to let travelers know that it is proud of the way it infuses its programs with nighttime entertainment reflective of the region’s culture.

“We incorporate traditional sightseeing with activities that showcase local flavor and culture so our guests can have an overall richer travel experience,” said Evan Chan, director of the China & Asia division of Ritz Tours.

“Special dinners and exciting entertainment provide a window into the history and soul of an ancient land, and our guests always appreciate the journey back in time,” Chan added.

Through specially designed itineraries by Ritz Tours, travelers can learn about Asia’s history, explore scenery, enjoy local folklore, and experience the diversity of cultures in the region. All tours are fully escorted by knowledgeable guides and provide experienced local guides in host cities. Following are some highlights of the cultural elements found in Ritz Tours’ current itineraries:

Beijing: Every Ritz program that encompasses the capital city of Beijing features a Peking duck dinner and a Chinese acrobatics presentation. Xian: Guests visiting this famed starting point of the ancient Silk Road are treated to an Imperial Dumpling Banquet and also view a Tang Dynasty Stage Opera, the backbone of Chinese theater.

Shangrila: Tour participants are given the opportunity to observe local customs and traditions when they sit down to a special dinner with a Tibetan family.

Bangkok: A Thai welcome dinner show with classical dance introduces guests to this “Angel City,” home of ornate temples, Siamese dancing and Buddhist culture.

Chiang Mai: A Khantoke Lanna dinner show provides spectacular entertainment in the former center of Thai religion, culture and trade.

Kyoto: A farewell dinner and traditional Japanese Cultural Show are highlights of the Japan Experience program.
