Tahiti Packages

Oct 23, 2010
Tahiti Tourisme recently unveiled three travel packages catering to West Coast clients who want to explore Tahiti’s stunning, less-visited islands without breaking the bank.

“We are encouraging visitors to take a look beyond the main islands into Tahiti’s hidden paradise,” said Al Keahi, managing director of Tahiti Tourisme. “These islands, which include Manihi, Huahine, Tikehau, Rangiroa, Raiatea and Fakarava, to name a few, offer experiences for travelers that are truly unique not only to the islands of Tahiti but to Polynesia as a whole.”

The following packages include roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles International Airport, roundtrip inter-island transportation and more.

With the 11-night Moorea & Huahine Explorer package, guests will spend one night in the Manava Suite Resort Tahiti followed by five nights in an overwater bungalow in the Moorea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. The 7½-acre resort is situated in Moorea, a small island known for its awe-inspiring lagoons, bays and pineapple plantations. The resort provides complimentary snorkel equipment and kayaks as well as organizes games of badminton and the French lawn bowling game, petanque.

Guests then spend five nights in the Te Tiare Beach Resort, located in the secluded island of Huahine, which is accessible only by boat. The package is priced from $3,235 per person and is available from Jan. 11 to March 31, 2011.

Swimmers, snorkelers and divers can find a haven of their own on Rangiroa — set on the largest atoll in the Tuamotus and regarded as one of the best diving spots in the South Pacific. With the Rangiroa Extravaganza package, clients spend eight nights at Le Maitai Rangiroa. The resort is surrounded by a coconut plantation and overlooks the lagoon. The package is priced from $2,299 per person and is available from Feb. 1 through March 31, 2011.

Clients who opt for the 10-night Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Manihi Pearl Beach Resort Package will spend five nights in one of Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa’s 50 overwater bungalows. The resort boasts a movie theater, three restaurants, two bars and a wedding chapel.

Midway through the trip, guests travel to Manihi — a string of islets celebrated for its black pearls — spending five nights at the Manihi Pearl Beach Resort. The resort offers 41 bungalows, including overwater and beach bungalows; Poe Rava, a Polynesian fusion restaurant; and the Miki Miki Bar. The package is priced from $3,821 per person and is available from Nov. 1 through March 31, 2011.
