Travelers get a taste if the history and culture of Thailand in
Ritz Tours’ 15-day Tantalizing Thailand program, with prices
starting at $1,399 per person plus taxes, double.
The group’s two-day stay in Bangkok begins with a Thai Classical
Dance Welcome Dinner Show and tour stops include the luxurious
Grand Palace and Coronation Hall, the Dam Nern Saduak Floating
Market on Bangkok’s canals, and the spiritual Emerald Buddha
Temple. Optional tours (including lunch) are available to the
Bridge over River Kwai, Ayuthaya Ancient City and Bang Pa In Summer
Palace.
After Bangkok, travelers fly to Chiang Rai and tour the old capital
of Chang Saen; the “Golden Triangle” where Myanmar, Laos and
Thailand meet; and Mae Sai, the northernmost town in Thailand.
Next on the program is the ancient city of Chiang Mai, the center
of Thai religion, culture and trade for nearly 300 years, where
guests will enjoy their first evening with a Khantoke Lanna Dinner
Show. During the tour, travelers can visit the sacred Doi Suthep
Temple, located at 3,500 feet above sea level, the Thai Handicraft
Village, the Chiang Dao Cape and Meo Village. Other highlights
include an excursion to see the elephants at work in the jungle and
a “Temple Tour” featuring the 700-year-old Wat Chiang Mun
Temple.
The tour price includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles or San
Francisco, airfare between cities visited in Asia, five-star
accommodations, air-conditioned motor coaches, meals and
entertainment per the itinerary, and tour guides.
