The Starwood Preferred Guest program presented by Starwood
Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. officially announced its SPG
Moments for Asia Pacific. Moments by Starwood Preferred Guest
allows members to bid with their Starpoints on exclusive
experiences on its auction Web site. Offers that are available
include insider access to red carpet movie premieres, closed
rehearsals with today’s top music artists, private dinners with
renowned chefs and more.
“Moments by Starwood Preferred Guest gives our members access to
once-in-a-lifetime events that go beyond just offering tickets to a
concert or sporting event. With the launch in Asia Pacific, we are
excited to bring these memorable experiences to our members living
in or traveling to Asia Pacific too, thus extending the reach of
the Moments program,” said Lisa Miller, director of Loyalty and
Partnership marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia
Pacific.
“We want to make an emotional connection with our members that
extends outside of our hotel doors by providing them with rich
experiences that go beyond the world of upgrades and free flights,”
said Miller. “Moments is designed to play to people’s passions with
amazing events that are available only to our members.”
The first Moments event in Asia Pacific that members can bid for
is attendance at the Justin Timberlake concerts in Brisbane on Oct.
27, Sydney on Oct. 31, Melbourne on Nov. 5 and Auckland on Nov. 23.
The highest bidder will receive the opportunity to watch Justin
Timberlake’s first concert in each location in the first 10 rows of
VIP seating and have private pre-show access to the unscripted
rehearsal and sound check.
Previous Moments experiences launched this year included
attendance to Gwen Stefani’s rehearsal and front row VIP tickets to
her concert, attendance to the premiere of Showtime’s original
series The Tudors, a tour of Georgia O’Keeffe’s home, and ringside
seating at Oscar de La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather fight and access
to the private post-fight party.
Upcoming events include a private dinner with Jean-Georges
Vongerichten at his restaurant in New York City, red carpet access
to upcoming Hollywood premieres and more.
