There’s nothing more frustrating than sitting around an airport for hours waiting for a flight — that’s time that can be used for something more exciting.
Travelers visiting Nadi, Fiji, or transferring through its main airport, can get out and give ziplining a try.
Sleeping Giant Zipline Fiji is only a 35-minute taxi ride away, and the course has five ziplines ranging from 80 meters to 160 meters long that soar over rivers and jungle terrain. Visitors can do the zipline course as many times as they want, though there’s also a natural swimming hole and a small cafe.
For those considering missing their flight back, there’s a guided hike to Orchid Falls, a jungle waterfall and a swimming spot. The cost is about $92 for adults and $46 for children under 12.
Allow three to four hours for the zipline only and five hours for the zipline and waterfall hike.
