Turks and Caicos has experienced unprecedented tourism growth in the first five months of 2024, led by visitors from the United States. Air arrivals increased by 10.85% compared to the same period in 2023, with March setting a record of 77,559 arrivals, a 15.57% increase over March 2023.

The cruise sector also saw significant growth, with April recording 29 port calls and May showing a 73.74% increase in cruise passengers compared to May 2023.

This growth follows a successful 2023, which saw more than 1.5 million visitors. According to the 2024 Amadeus Destination Insights Report, bookings are projected to increase by 24% year-over-year through August. Google Flights data shows Turks and Caicos as the most searched destination for U.S.-based couples and family vacations.

The islands have also topped the region in accommodation occupancy, registering 87% for the first months of 2024.
