Cunard Offers More Variety in 2014

Apr 05, 2013

Cunard Line will have a much stronger presence in the Mediterranean in 2014, when it will also celebrate the Queen Mary 2’s 10th birthday.

Next spring, following the return of Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria from their World Voyages, Queen Elizabeth will offer seven-, 14- and 21-night cruises from June-December. Mediterranean offerings include 25 different ports including Monte Carlo, Corfu, Mykonos, Naples, Dubrovnik and Livorno, as well as overnight stays in Istanbul, Turkey, and Venice, Italy. Seven maiden calls include Elba, Italy; Kotor, Montenegro; Bodrum, Turkey; Volos, Greece; Palermo (Sicily), Italy; La Goulette, Tunisia; and Toulon, France.

“Next year is the year to travel on a Cunard Liner,” said Cunard Line president Peter Shanks. “The 10th anniversary of Queen Mary 2 provides a unique opportunity to experience crossing the Atlantic in a celebratory fashion. In addition, our new 2014 itineraries offer variety, providing access to the most celebrated regions of the world.”

Throughout 2014, Queen Mary 2 will celebrate her 10th anniversary, offering her regular trans-Atlantic crossings between New York and Southampton, along with two eight-night crossings with a stop in Halifax (Nova Scotia, Canada) to celebrate Cunard’s trans-Atlantic heritage. Two designated Birthday Crossings will include a variety of special events and celebrations starting May 9, sailing from Southampton to New York and then from New York to Southampton, when the Three Queens event will be held in Southampton.
