Waikiki is about to become an even more attractive tourist
destination, with the arrival of the brand new all-suite Embassy
Suites Waikiki Beach Walk. Reservations are now being taken for
visits beginning Dec.22, 2006.
The hotel chain’s first all-leisure property will be owned and
operated by Outrigger Hotels and ResortsHawaii’s oldest and most
reputable resort chain. The new Embassy Suites is the keystone of
Outrigger’s $535 million redevelopment of Waikiki. It offers
numerous experiences for active families, romantic dining for
couples, shopping and more, all in a modern and upscale
setting.
Two towers, the Aloha and the Hula Tower, enclose 353 luxurious
one-bedroom suites and 68 two-bedroom suites. Each suite is
equipped with a separate living room, deluxe bedding, wet bar,
microwave, coffeemaker, mini refrigerator, in-room safe, flat panel
LCD TV, and an MP3/CD clock radio. The hotel also offers a 24-hour
fitness center, free local and long distance phone calls and
high-speed Internet access to all guests.
At the fourth-floor guests will find the Grand Lanai, an enormous
complex connecting the two towers. A large swimming pool with a
waterfall and a sundeck with numerous chaise lounges will help
guests unwind from a day of surfing, scuba, golf, or any of several
other options within walking distance. The Grand Lanai also boasts
a 2,000 square foot meeting space on a covered terrace. Every
evening a Manager’s Reception will feature complimentary drinks and
snacks. And, in the morning, there is a Hawaiian farewell ceremony
for departing guests.
Not only is the beach a few steps away, but the Beach Walk’s
bustling outdoor shopping center includes designer boutiques, local
shops, restaurants of all kinds and live entertainment. Room rates
for the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk start at $399 for a
one-bedroom suite, and $549 for a two-bedroom suite. A limited
special introductory rate starting at $269 for a one-bedroom and
$419 for a two-bedroom suite will be offered throughout 2007 while
spaces are available. All children under the age of 18 can stay for
