Holland America Line will offer three Baltic itineraries in the
summer of 2005 on the 1,848-passenger ms Westerdam and the
1,316-passenger flagship, ms Rotterdam. Passengers can chose from
10-day "Gems of the Baltic," 12-day "Treasures of Scandinavia and
Russia," or 12-day "Vikings & Czars” cruises.
The "Gems of the Baltic" cruise on the Westerdam is a roundtrip
from Copenhagen. It calls in Estonia, and overnights in St.
Petersburg, where guests can enjoy stunning historical highlights,
such as the Hermitage Museum, a visit to the spectacular fountains
designed by Peter the Great for his Summer Palace at Peterhof, and
a special performance of the St. Petersburg opera at Yusupov
Palace. The itinerary also calls in Helsinki, Finland, Stockholm
and Visby in Sweden, and Warnemünde, Germany. The “Gems of the
Baltic” cruises depart on July 30, August 9, 19, 29 or September 9,
2005.
The 12-day "Treasures of Scandinavia & Russia" itineraries
on the Rotterdam visit the beautiful Oslofjord in Norway, and
include an overnight in St. Petersburg. The Rotterdam sails from
Copenhagen to Rotterdam on July 2 and 26, 2005. A reverse 12-day
itinerary, the "Vikings & Czars" cruise, sails from Rotterdam
to Copenhagen July 14 and August 7, 2005.
Both the Rotterdam and Westerdam feature the full compliment of
Signature of Excellence product enhancements. Amenities include a
Greenhouse Spa and fitness center, plush terry robes, fresh flowers
in deluxe staterooms, wi-fi hotspots and onboard cooking
