Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Miracle has begun its European summer sailing season after finishing a dry dock refurbishment in Cadiz, Spain. The vessel welcomed its first passengers from Lisbon, Portugal, showcasing numerous enhancements and renovated spaces.

Among the additions is the new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, which celebrates active-duty military personnel and veterans. This venue is now featured on 15 ships in the Carnival fleet. The ship also received a new Carnival Adventures store for booking shore excursions.

Several areas underwent significant renovations, including the mini-golf area and nightclub, which were remodeled with new layouts and designs. The casino was expanded, while the Camp Ocean youth area and teens' club received refreshed designs and new features.

The Chef's Table venue was added, crafting a dedicated space for the exclusive culinary experience. A new Dreams Studio was also incorporated for professional photography. Other public spaces including Cloud9 Spa, the Serenity adults-only retreat, Club 02, the Java Blue coffee shop and Lido marketplace were refreshed, as well.

Carnival Miracle's current European itinerary includes a seven-day voyage from Lisbon with stops in La Coruna and Bilbao, Spain; and Le Verdon (Bordeaux) and Le Havre (Paris), France. The ship will then arrive in Dover, England, to begin nine- and 12-day cruises throughout the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Baltics and Northern Europe.

Later this summer, the vessel will reposition to Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, offering cruises to ports in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.

When Carnival Miracle returns to the United States in November, it will begin operating from a new homeport in Tampa, Florida. The 2,670-passenger ship will offer six-, seven- and eight-day cruises to the Bahamas and other Caribbean destinations.
