Holland America Line has opened reservations for its 2026 Grand World Voyage aboard Volendam and unveiled a new 93-day Grand Australia and New Zealand itinerary on Zaandam. The two extended sailings embark roundtrip from the U.S. in January 2026 with a rendezvous in Sydney.

The newly announced 2026 Grand Australia and New Zealand Voyage takes guests on an immersive 44-port journey Down Under while also visiting Hawaii, Fiji, French Polynesia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomons and Vanuatu. Ten extended port calls provide more time to explore destinations like Papeete and Raiatea.

"Our team crafted this itinerary to show guests the parts of Australia and New Zealand they expect to visit, but also included frequently asked for, but rarely visited, ports throughout Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands," said Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for Holland America Line.

Sailing roundtrip from San Diego on January 4, the 93-day voyage heads southwest to Hawaii before sailing through the South Pacific islands on the way to Australia and New Zealand. The cruise features overnights in Honolulu, Sydney, Auckland and more, plus scenic Great Barrier Reef cruising.

The previously announced 2026 Grand World Voyage will sail roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale on January 4, 2026 as well. The 132-day East-to-West circumnavigation visits all 7 continents across 48 ports and 25 countries.

Highlights include four days of Antarctic scenic cruising, overnights in Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Singapore and Egypt's Safaga and Luxor, and a rare cruise up France's Gironde River to Bordeaux.

On March 7, the two Grand Voyages will rendezvous for an overnight call in Sydney, allowing guests to cross between the ships.

Guests booking either of the full Grand Voyages by June 16, 2025 receive benefits valued up to $9,350 or $7,900 per person respectively.

Onboard the Grand Voyages, Holland America provides enriching activities, local cultural entertainment, themed balls and changed menus incorporating regional ingredients. Extended days at sea allow ample time to enjoy the premium amenities.

The line noted that these cruises offer a convenient way to "explore a variety of global destinations in ease, without the need for international or long-haul air.”
