A brand-new, full-length Cirque du Soleil show is scheduled to open this spring at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. “Drawn to Life” combines Cirque Du Soleil’s theatrical artistry with Disney storytelling in a show about a young girl who receives an unexpected gift from her animator father.
“Interpreting the works from Disney’s spectacular catalog of animation into a live show was a thrilling opportunity for Cirque du Soleil, and we couldn’t be prouder of this production,” said Diane Quinn, chief creative officer for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group.
The show takes place on a stage that looks like an animator’s desk and features animation from beloved Disney films, new animation created just for the show and 10 spectacular acrobatic acts, including a spellbinding aerial pole routine inspired by a pencil test.
According to Ramit Kapoor, marketing strategy senior manager for Walt Disney World, “Drawn to Life” is a great entertainment experience for families beyond the parks.
