Earlier this month, Universal Orlando Resort introduced “Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon,” a new attraction featuring the host of television’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Guests begin by touring a model of “The Tonight Show” lobby and viewing props, wardrobe and set pieces, including an interactive desk where they can see what it feels like to host the late-night talk show.
Next, guests board the world’s first flying theater for an action-packed adventure through the streets of New York. As they race past iconic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building, riders will encounter many of Fallon’s popular characters as well as “The Tonight Show” mascot Hashtag the Panda, announcer Steve Higgins and Grammy Award-winning musicians The Roots.
“It’s like visiting New York City, going on the craziest rollercoaster simulator and seeing ‘The Tonight Show’ all in one ride,” Fallon said.

The ride will also be the first attraction at Universal Studios Florida to feature the park’s new Virtual Line experience. After accessing the new system through the official Universal Orlando Resort app or at kiosks at the attraction’s entrance, guests can virtually wait in line while enjoying the rest of the park. Then, when it’s time to ride, they head back to the attraction.
The Tonight Shop, a themed retail outlet, will offer hats, T-shirts and more, including full-size Hashtag the Panda costumes.
