Disneyland Resort Hotels Will No Longer Offer Early Entry in 2026

Disneyland Resort Hotels Will No Longer Offer Early Entry in 2026

Beginning Jan. 5, 2026, daily early park entry will no longer be available for guests staying at the three onsite Disneyland Resort hotels: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel.

The new perk for 2026 allows guests to enjoy expedited access to popular attractions without having to wake up early.

Instead, clients will receive one expedited Lightning Lane entry for an available Lightning Lane Multi Pass-eligible attraction that can be used at any time during their stay (valid admission and park reservation required). This exclusive perk is not available to clients staying at Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels.

According to the Disneyland Resort, this change will provide expedited access to popular attractions "without having to wake up early to make use of this perk." Advisors should note that clients will only receive one Lightning Lane entry per stay — not per day — and that Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions (currently Radiator Springs Racers and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance) are not included.

“Early park entry has been a motivator for my East Coast clients, and since many of them do purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass already, this change may be disappointing to them initially,” said Jennifer Novotny, owner of Upon a Star Travel. “But our West Coast clients are not as motivated by early entry and don't often buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so I do think this will be a benefit for them.”

At this time, 13 attractions in Disneyland Park are eligible for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, including the park's newest attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure. In California Adventure Park, Lightning Lane entry is available for nine attractions, including Web Slingers: a Spider-Man Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout in Avengers Campus. Clients should be aware that attractions are not guaranteed, and may not be available on the day of visit or at the time of selection or redemption.

If clients want to take advantage of Lightning Lane expedited entry for more than one attraction during their stay — or if they are not staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel — they can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass as a ticket add-on when purchasing park tickets or after entering either theme park on the day of their visit via the Disneyland app. Lightning Lane Multi Pass starts at $32 per ticket, per day (prices and availability vary by date). Lightning Lane Single Pass entry must be purchased separately through the app and is limited to one entry per attraction, per day.

“When I read the news, I was glad to see Lightning Lane Multi Pass as a benefit,” Novotny said. “I know that there is data behind the decisions made, so I’m interested to see if this change is permanent or if it will get adjusted down the road based on client feedback, which Disney listens to as evidenced by many of the changes we have seen this year.”

In addition, the dedicated Pixar Place Hotel entrance to Disney California Adventure will be unavailable beginning Jan. 5, 2026. Pixar Place Hotel guests will be able to use the Disney California Adventure Park entrance located inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Walt Disney Travel Company vacation packages and Disneyland Resort Hotel room reservations for arrivals Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026, are now available for booking.
