June may be Pride Month in Hawaii, but Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort is enticing LGBT travelers throughout the year with its new Hawaii Pride package.
“Our Hawaii Pride package offers travel agents a gay-friendly booking option in the heart of Waikiki,” said Natalie Caceres, sales manager for Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber. “By passing the same-sex marriage law in late 2013, Hawaii sent a clear message that we are celebrating diversity and equal rights.”
Priced from $249 per night for double occupancy, the Hawaii Pride package comes with two welcome rainbow leis and sparkling wine delivered to the room.
Clients also receive two tickets for the Saturday catamaran sail around Diamond Head presented by Hula’s Bar and Lei Stand, a gay-friendly bar celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
Caceres noted that the 496-room Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber is TAG-approved, which means it assures high standards of hospitality, services and support for the gay community.
“We understand the importance of this market and their interest in a fun and relaxing visit to Waikiki,” said Caceres. “Our location gives them endless choices for shopping, dining and entertainment. We are also right across the street from Waikiki Beach.”
Good for travel through Dec. 26, 2014, the Hawaii Pride package pays 10 percent commission to travel agents.
