ITC Hotels, one of the greenest luxury hotel chains in the world, has teamed up with Pure Solutions to create ITC One Pure Bliss rooms, a line of hypo-allergenic rooms and suites at ITC hotels in India intended to further guarantee guests an excellent night’s sleep.
The new rooms represent ITC Hotels’ latest effort to keep up with their credo, “Responsible Luxury,” which promises to provide a luxury experience without guest sacrifice. The LEED certified brand’s environmental focus includes not only standard recycling measures, but also providing properties with all their power from wind and solar grids.
Pure Bliss began with a test installation at the ITC Maurya in New Delhi, and the success of the partnership has led to the creation of a Pure Bliss experience at ITC’s newest property, the ITC Grand Chola, which will open in Chennai on Dec. 26. The goal of these rooms is to provide guests with the best possible night’s sleep and an exceptionally comfortable overall experience.
Pure Solutions’ patented systems for hotels and conference centers provide indoor environments free of allergy-causing particles, bacteria, and viruses. The Pure process includes special purification techniques through which each room is treated in order to remove allergens and irritants from all surfaces, fabrics and even air flow. This purification is designed to dramatically improve the room’s air quality and reduce the risk of irritants. Conditions are maintained through the continuous circulation of air through a state-of-the-art medical grade purifier, filtering out 98 percent of dust and other impurities.
ITC Hotels is the first chain of luxury properties in the world to become LEED Platinum Certified as a result of its dedication to environmental protections. In keeping with these goals, the brand’s green buildings are specifically designed to be energy efficient, conserve and recycle water, preserve surrounding eco-systems and to use materials that are biodegradable and help conserve scarce environmental resources. To this end, more than 35 percent of the energy consumed at ITC properties is now in the form of renewable sources and carbon neutral fuels.
