Marking its milestone 3000th worldwide property, Marriott
International recently opened the doors at a new flagship location
in Beijing, China. The JW Marriott Beijing is located in the heart
of the capital city at the new China Central Place.
The luxury complex is found just east of Beijing’s ever growing
business district, where the new 588-room hotel and the soon to
open Ritz-Carlton, Beijing, anchor a collection of amenities that
appeal to visitors and locals alike. The China Central Place offers
high-end office space; eight residential towers; luxury brand
retail shops; green areas; and a sports center.
Amidst this innovative setting, the 23-story JW Marriott
proffers 549 deluxe and executive guestrooms, 39 suites, three
diverse restaurants and the award-winning Quan Spa.
Designed by the world-renowned Kohn Pederson Fox Architects, the
distinctive exterior of the building looks out on a serene garden
to the south, and the bustling China Central Place and Chaoyang
Park to the north. Inside, Hirsch Bender Associates designed a
modern collection of international contemporary art, including
post-modern paintings, sculptures and photographs.
Each guestroom has been decorated with subtle sophistication and
includes high-tech amenities, such as a 42-inch flat-screen LCD TV,
as well as a DVD player with USB connectivity to allow guests to
play personal audio and video selections or review laptop files on
the large LCD screen. Even the bathrooms are equipped with an LCD
screen above the bath.
For dining and entertainment, the JW Marriott Hotel provides
three unique cuisine experiences. The Asia Bistro offers gourmet
Asian food with live cooking stations and an open kitchen area. The
Pinot Brasserie fuses traditional French dishes with a contemporary
atmosphere. The Cru Steakhouse is known for its wine, meat and
fresh seafood. For nightlife, the Loong Bar and Lobby Lounge have
live music and cocktails.
The Quan Spa, an award-winning feature with only five worldwide,
features exclusive therapies and treatments and ten unique
treatment rooms. With a wide-range of massage, facial and body
therapies, the Quan Spa is best-known for its Marine Detox and
Ocean Rainshower Body Treatment.
The JW Marriott provides an Executive Lounge on the 20th floor,
a 24-hour business center, adaptable function space and a Grand
Ballroom.
“We are thrilled by the opening of this flagship JW Marriott
Hotel in Beijing,” said Geoff Garside, executive vice president for
Marriott’s Asia-Pacific region. “The JW Marriott Brand is
synonymous with luxury and service, and we look forward to
welcoming our guests and being part of this vibrant community.”
