Le Meridien is on a roll. The company has announced the addition of six new hotels throughout Asia, scheduled to open in 2013. The hotel brand has had more new hotel deals signed in the past year than in the previous four years combined.
“Le Meridien has soared under Starwood, with a new design perspective and truly unique positioning that helps guests unlock their destination through culture and cuisine,” said Brian Povinelli, global brand leader, Le Meridien and Westin Hotels.
Each new property will feature the Le Meridien Hub experience, which re-interprets the traditional lobby into a social gathering place for creative people.
Le Meridien Bali JimbaranLocated on Bali’s southwestern coast, the hotel overlooks the Jimbaran Bay. Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran features a large-scale lagoon with direct access from some guestrooms. The hotel also offers several signature bar and restaurant experiences; 118 guestrooms, including rooftop penthouses and villas with private plunge pools; a fitness center; and a glass chapel with stunning views over the island. The hotel opened in January.
Le Meridien ZhengzhouCentrally located in the progressive capital of Henan Province, China, Le Meridien Zhengzhou offers a sophisticated gateway to the city. Its 350 guestrooms and suites feature contemporary art elements with a local touch. Bathrooms have a deep French-style bathtub and a rainforest showerhead. The hotel’s restaurants serve Chinese, Japanese, and European fare. There’s also a designated wine room. The property will open in May 2013.
Le Meridien SaigonLocated in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the property is situated beside the Saigon River and close to various entertainment and commercial areas, making it an ideal base for exploring the local culture and community. Its 350 modern guestrooms and suites provide river views, and the hotel’s Explore Spa offers a range of treatments. The property is set to open in June 2013.
Le Meridien DhakaLocated in Bangladesh, the property occupies a location adjacent to the stock exchange and between the central business district and the Shahjalal International Airport (DAC). The hotel has 300 guestrooms and suites, a spa and a fitness center. It opens in July.
Le Meridien Jiaonan ResortThe property is situated on in Qingdao, China, on the city's longest beach. The resort is located 1.2 miles from the Jiaonan County government, less than three miles from Orient (Qingdao) Golf & Country Club and is a 30-minute drive from the Qingdao Liuting International Airport (TAO). It will open its doors to guests in October.
Le Meridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & SpaLocated in the Indian state of Maharashtra, the resort hotel is surrounded by evergreen forests in the Western Ghats and is located near the city center on Satara Road. A 90-minute drive from the Pune International Airport, the resort will open in October.
