Nikko Hotels International has announced plans to continue its
expansion in China with a five-star luxury hotel in Shanghai
scheduled to open in March 2009. Hotel Nikko Shanghai will have 388
guestrooms in a 25-story building. Facilities will include three
restaurants, a lobby lounge, a bar, an executive lounge, banquet
rooms, meeting rooms, a business center, pool, fitness center, spa
and parking garage.
Shanghai, the biggest commercial, financial and industrial city
in China, continues to grow on both business and tourism fronts.
Hotel Nikko Shanghai expects a large demand from business and
leisure travelers, due to its premier location in Manpo
International Plaza, a real estate complex now being built that
will have two luxury condominium buildings and a luxury office
building.
The complex is a 25-minute drive from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport,
and is located at the corner of Shanghai Puxi area’s main road, Yan
An West Road and Zhen Ning Road.
