Promotions at The Pen

This year, Peninsula Hotels throughout Asia, including the newly opened Peninsula Shanghai, are offering a number of promotions, packages and savings to entice luxury travelers to the region.

Beijing: Suite Indulgence
Through Dec. 31, clients can book an Executive Suite, Duplex Suite or Beijing Suite at the rack rate and receive value-added amenities that include roundtrip Rolls-Royce airport transfers; daily breakfast for two; unlimited use of the minibar; and complimentary access to The Club Lounge. Nightly rack rates begin at $660 for an Executive Suite; $870 for a Duplex Suite; and $988 for a Beijing Suite.

China: A Tale of Three Cities
The brand’s newest China promotion, A Tale of Three Cities, encompasses a collection of two different itineraries at each of its properties in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. At each of The Peninsula’s three China properties — The Peninsula Hong Kong, The Peninsula Beijing and The Peninsula Shanghai — clients may choose from two different “tales” or packages — Epic or Classic.

The Epic itinerary includes Peninsula Suite accommodations for two nights; Rolls-Royce airport transfers; daily American breakfast; a selection of Peninsula Academy activities; spa treatments at The Peninsula Spa by Espa; complimentary drinks, laundry, dry cleaning and more. It is priced from $20,000 at The Peninsula Hong Kong; from $22,700 at The Peninsula Shanghai; and from $20,425 at The Peninsula Beijing.

The Classic itinerary includes two nights in a regular room; daily American breakfast; roundtrip airport transfer by limousine; one Peninsula Academy program; and spa credits at The Peninsula Spa by Espa. It is priced from $1,595 at The Peninsula Hong Kong; from $1,342 at The Peninsula Shanghai; and from $1,231 at The Peninsula Beijing.

Both package types are commissionable to agents at a rate of 10 percent. Rates are based on double occupancy and are available through Dec. 29.

Shanghai: A Celebration
At the new Peninsula Shanghai, clients can take advantage of the Shanghai Celebration package which is available through Dec. 31. It includes a Superior Room accommodation for one night; daily American breakfast for two; and roundtrip transfers from Hongqiao or Pudong International Airport for $295 per night.

Shanghai: The Peninsula Expo-rience
During the upcoming Shanghai World Expo 2010, which takes place from May 1 to Oct. 31, The Peninsula Shanghai will offer The Peninsula Expo-rience package. It includes accommodations in a Superior Room; daily breakfast; tickets to the World expo; and transportation to and from the Expo site for $366 per night.

Tokyo: Quality Family Time
Through Dec. 31, family clients can book a Family Time package at The Peninsula Tokyo, which includes a children’s welcome amenity and a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Room measuring 579 square feet. Other included features of this package include: dinner for two adults and one child through room service; breakfast for two adults and one child through room service; complimentary valet parking; complimentary wired and wireless broadband Internet access; complimentary use of the fitness center and swimming pool; a daily local newspaper. The rate for this package is $637 per room, per night, for either single/double adult occupancy and one child under the age of three. For an extra child (all ages), or an additional adult, an added price of $62 will be added to the total room rate and will include a roll-away bed. A baby crib will be provided at no charge.
