You don’t have to hit a Megabucks slot jackpot to be treated
like royalty in Las Vegas. Sure it would help when the credit card
bill shows up in the mailbox, but properties up and down the Las
Vegas Strip have raised the ante when it comes to suite living and
blow-your-mind service. After all it’s about the extras.
Searching for top luxury suites in Las Vegas is quite the
challenge. It’s an undertaking actually, but we’re here to help and
will focus on some newer accommodations.
When it comes to extravagant, luxe living, at least for a day or
two, the Palms Casino Resort has added some only-in-Vegas amenities
in its Fantasy Tower suites.
Although reserved for celebrities and budgets of $10,000 to
$30,000 a night, the resort’s Party Floor suites are gigantic and
perfect for corporate entertaining. From the Kingpin Suite, a
4,240-square-foot space with two full-sized bowling alleys, to the
two-level, 10,000-square-foot Hardwood Suite with its own
basketball court and the Sky Villas 6,200- to 9,000-square-foot
spaces, depending on whether its one story or two (don’t worry the
dual-level has a glass elevator) these are the ultimate excess. The
Sky Villas even have outdoor cantilevered pools which overhang the
building and stare at the Strip in case clients want to take a
late-night swim. Of course, above the Sky Villas is the Hugh
Hefner suite. Think all the amenities previously mentioned but in
a much larger space, plus media room, fitness center, poker table,
sauna and spa treatment room.
But not everything has to be out of reach. The Signature at MGM
Grand has 900- to 1,450-square-foot suites with deluxe king-size
beds wrapped in 300-thread-count Anichini sheets, marble and
granite bathrooms with Jacuzzi-brand whirlpool tubs and June Jacobs
spa products, Sub-Zero, Miele and Bosch kitchenette appliances, LCD
flat-screen high-definition TVs. But best of all is the 24-hour
concierge service and the surrounding grounds with a fitness
center, multiple heated outdoor pools and poolside cabanas.
When it comes to the Skylofts at MGM Grand, clients can’t beat the
personal service. Located 30 floors above the Las Vegas skyline,
these spacious two-story units feature floor-to-ceiling windows and
run from $800-$10,000 per night. But it’s the 24-hour butler
service that sets the bar high. Your clients’ butler will unpack
and pack luggage, customize the private bar or convert the loft
into a personal spa with mood lighting and calming music and that
includes adjusting the drapes and lighting. Rooms include a den,
bar area and living, media and billiards rooms, plus clients are
entitled to preferred seating at KA, Joel Robuchon and Shibuya,
among other hot spots.
At the Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa, there is Strip-like
luxury without the high cost. Clients still get to sprawl out in
large suites overlooking the pool, but won’t have to worry about
the budget to do so. In addition to well appointed accommodations
(make sure you request a mountain view), there’s a
35,000-square-foot spa and health club complete with a movement
studio and boxing ring, 20 treatment rooms, several indoor/outdoor
couples suites and a full-service salon. The resort even features
an adventure spa so clients can plan trips rock climbing, rafting
in the Black Canyon, kayaking or mountain biking.
For clients looking for a not-so-Vegas experience, the upscale
Platinum Hotel & Spa may be the answer. Just two blocks from
the Strip, this non-gaming resort is both elegant and reasonably
priced with suites from $149 to $799 a night. Platinum features 255
spacious one- and two-bedroom suites in three categories; the
smallest being the Solitaire Suite at 910 square feet. The Princess
is 1,083 square feet and the Marquise stretches 2,165 square feet.
All of the suites contain gourmet kitchens, granite countertops,
island seating at the breakfast bar, a full-size refrigerator,
dishwasher and stove. The Princess and Marquise suites also have
fireplaces and an in-room washer and dryer. In addition to amazing
views of the Las Vegas Strip, amenities at the Platinum include the
Well Spa, with rooftop yoga and Pilates programs and a heated
indoor-outdoor pool.
