Outrigger Hospitality Group has announced the acquisition of Zeavola Resort, a beachfront property located on the northern tip of Thailand’s Phi Phi Island. The resort will be rebranded as Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort and is set to undergo a full renovation before reopening on October 1, 2025.

The acquisition marks Outrigger’s fourth operational property in Thailand, joining existing resorts in Koh Samui, Khao Lak and Surin Beach, Phuket.

“The addition of a new Outrigger Resort on Phi Phi Island represents a landmark moment in our strategic growth across Asia Pacific,” said Jeff Wagoner, president and CEO of Outrigger Hospitality Group. “Thailand remains one of the world’s most beloved travel destinations and we are thrilled to bring our signature style of beachfront hospitality to this extraordinary location. With our established operational presence in Thailand, we’re well positioned to enhance the guest experience and further strengthen our roots in this vibrant, culturally rich market.”

The property will temporarily suspend operations during the island’s shoulder season to begin an extensive renovation. Plans include updated accommodations and redesigned shared spaces, with the final resort featuring 63 suites and villas. According to the company, the redesign will reflect Outrigger’s emphasis on “barefoot luxury,” cultural experiences and environmental stewardship.
