ARTA's Gala Evening
On April 4, Valley ARTA presented "Rhythm of Malaysia," a gala
evening sponsored by Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines and
Solutions Travel Service. Guests dined on authentic Malaysian
cuisine and were entertained by renowned musicians from Malaysia.
The educational presentations showcased the many and varied wonders
of Malaysia. The grand prize was a trip to Malaysia, won by Ms.
Joan Diamond of Nautilus Tours and Cruises, Ltd.

Burris at TRAMS
Nolan Burris, of Visionistics Enterprises, was an ATAA-sponsored
presenter at the recent TRAMS Tech U show. Burris will also be at
the ATAA Nuts and Bolts Conference July 15-17 at the Phoenix Hyatt
Regency Scottsdale Resort at Gainey Ranch.
O'Neill President
Deirdre O’neill, of the Newport Beach-based O’neill Group, was
inducted as President of Skal International, Orange Coast, a
professional organization of tourism leaders around the world. Skal
is dedicated to promoting global tourism and friendship. The
ceremony was conducted by Albert Schmidt, vice president, SIUSA
Region IV, and Phil Campanelli, outgoing president of Skal, Orange
Coast.
Wagner to St. Regis
Lilian Wagner has been appointed director of sales and marketing
for the St. Regis Hotel and Residences, San Francisco, opening in
September. Wagner has extensive experience in the hospitality
industry, including work for the Carlyle Hotel in New York, as well
as director of marketing at San Francisco’s Ritz-Carlton and Park
Hyatt.
