The Wyland Waikiki, which is being rebranded this summer, has selected Jim Heather to serve as general manager. Heather will oversee the hotel’s transition to the newly named Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach and will be responsible for all operational aspects of the 405-room hotel.
"Jim is a well-respected member of the Outrigger ohana [family] who brings a wealth of experience to his new position," said Barry Wallace, executive vice president of hospitality services for Outrigger Enterprises Group. "His industry knowledge, keen management style and desire for the best in hospitality will ensure a successful transition to the Courtyard by Mariott brand and ongoing leadership at the hotel."
Most recently, Heather was general manager of the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.
